RULES AND GUIDELINES FOR SUCCESSFUL SWEEPSTAKING

These rules apply to all sweepstakes and contests in Contest
News-Letter unless an exception is noted within a specific listing. These rules are
based on interviews with dozens of judging agencies.  Name, Address, Zip (NAZ) means your name, address, city, state and Zip code. Area code is part of phone number. Print 3x5s, qualifiers and envelopes exactly as shown, including punctuation, capitalization and abbreviations. 3x5 papers and cards should be white and unlined when rules say “plain” 3x5. You may print name and address in block letters,
which are simply all capital letters, but it is not required unless rules specify
block letters. If no qualifier is shown, none is required.
Enter as often as you wish, but mail each entry in a separate
envelope unless otherwise stated in rules. Unless specified, you may use any
size envelope to enter. A #10 envelope is 4 1/8 x 9 1/2 inches. You may
type envelopes, unless hand-addressing is specified. Use post card (minimum
size 31/2 x 5) only when post card is specified. Do not mail a post card
entry in an envelope. A return address is optional, and you may use return
address stickers or rubber stamps unless a hand-addressed envelope is
specified.Open to U.S. residents, possessions and APOs/FPOs. There are no age
restrictions unless shown. Limit one prize per family or household.
Prizes generally are non-redeemable for cash, non-transferable and
non-assignable. Winners are notified automatically, so you do not have to send for
winners lists. An SASE is a self-addressed, stamped envelope. Prize values
are generally manufacturer’s suggested list prices and should not be
considered the actual retail price in any given area. For tax purposes you should
establish your own area’s fair market value of a prize.
You do not need to send for game pieces to enter second-chance
sweeps. VT and WA residents may omit return postage on SASE for game pieces.
